The way you said my name.

Goodness,

It sent sparks of painful electricity through my spine, crackling through my veins and hitching in my ribcage.
It set my heart ablaze, lighting up my cheeks along with it.

The way your tongue prodded against your parted lips as you said it…

The realization collided into my thin body like a freight train.

You’ve stained my soul with such a gorgeous color,

And each day I fall harder.  

You are my lifeline,

And every time you leave my side,

I die.
